Coloring Dreams With A Purpose

Every stride supports Liberty Launch Academy, a local 501(c)3 non-profit school in Liberty Lake, WA. The Color Me Rad 5K fuels LLA's scholarship fund, opening doors for more students to take on educational adventures that shape their futures.

Originally launched by Lunch Sack Productions in 2015, the brand was donated to LLA to give the event a new purpose. Run for the colors, run for the cause.

Everything you need to know before showing up and getting messy.

01Is this event timed?+
Nope. Color Me Rad is all about fun over competition. No race times, no rankings, no pressure. Run, walk, dance, take photos, do whatever feels right.
02What should I wear?+
A white or light-colored shirt makes the colors pop. Athletic shoes, sunglasses (or goggles), and clothes you don't mind getting absolutely covered. Costumes, tutus, crazy socks all encouraged.
03Is the color powder safe?+
Yes. The powder is non-toxic, food-grade, made from cornstarch and approved color dyes. If you have asthma, severe allergies, or respiratory issues, talk to your doctor first.
04Can kids participate?+
Absolutely. We have a 1-mile Kid Run for participants 10 and under. Strollers and wagons are welcome (they'll get colorful). Parents should supervise younger kids in the color zones.
05Will the powder stain my clothes or skin?+
Most powder washes out, especially from synthetic athletic gear. Color comes off skin after a shower or two. Light hair might hold a tint a little longer. Wear something you wouldn't cry over.
06What if it rains?+
Rain or shine, we run. Only severe weather or unsafe conditions would cancel the event. Watch our socials race day for any updates.
07How early should I arrive?+
Show up 45-60 minutes before your wave start. Parking, packet pickup, and warming up takes time. Don't be the person sprinting from the lot at 8:59.
08Can I bring my phone?+
Yes, but protect it. Toss it in a ziplock or waterproof pouch. Color powder gets into everything, including your charging port and headphone jack.
09Can I bring my dog?+
For everyone's safety, pets aren't allowed (the powder isn't great for them and crowds can stress them out). Approved service animals are welcome.
10Are spectators allowed?+
Yes! Bring the whole crew. Spectators are welcome in designated viewing areas and the finish festival. They might catch some color too — it's a feature, not a bug.
11Are tickets refundable?+
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable unless the event is canceled by organizers. Pick a wave you're confident you can make.
12Where does my money go?+
Every ticket supports Liberty Launch Academy, a 501(c)3 non-profit school. Your stride helps fund scholarships for local kids. Run for the colors, run for the cause.
