More than 4 million babies were born in the United States last year and the March of Dimes helped each and every one through 75 years of research, education, vaccines and breakthroughs. The March of Dimes strives to improve the health of babies across the country. In local communities, March of Dimes helps mothers take charge of their health and supports families when something goes wrong.
Through programs and services in communities across Hawaii, March of Dimes promotes healthy pregnancies and babies; works to prevent premature birth and birth defects; and educates and supports moms and families in need. March of Dimes also has a NICU Family Support program that provides direct services to families whose newborn babies require hospitalization in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
