If you're allergic to the metric system, corn starch, or unbridled joy, you'd probably be more comfortable watching Matlock than at the starting blocks of this color-filled 5k.

But if you're itching for a great time and not from a bad case of diaper rash,
Color Me Rad Baltimore is the run for you.

By intelligent design or evolution, man was meant to run for one thing and one thing only: to stay alive. Pamplona was the first real race organized for what running should be: running from stuff that's going to kill, gore, or maim you.

Luckily, we've evolved to where we only hunt for attractive potential mates, we only gather for extreme couponing, and we only run to benefit charities and our cardiovascular system.

Race Details

Color Me Rad Baltimore will take place September 8, 2013 at Goucher College and a portion of the proceeds benefit the Goucher College Athletic Department.

The Color Bombs start flying at 8 am with waves of runners getting plastered with paint every 5 minutes after. You'll end up looking like a kindergarten art class gone wrong... but the Art of Running will make you feel oh so right.

Don't forget to LIKE us on for race updates and to win sweet stuff: more color, running shoes, hoodies, free entries.

Sponsors

Just like Color Me Rad puts the “un” in “run” and the multi-colored  Splenda in your coffee, smart puts the “car” in “uncar” and we’re stoked to have them as the Official Pace Car of Color Me Rad.

smart will be leading out our first wave of runners and don’t let its smallness in
stature fool you.  It's got enough strength to be a pro-wrestler and enough
charisma to win over your mother-in-law.

Volunteer

Just like at Christmas and birthdays, 'tis
better to give than receive... right? I know that's a hard one to swallow for 8 year olds, but in this case, it might be true. If you want to pummel your friends and family with color rather than be pummeled, sign up HERE to volunteer and join the COLOR BOMB SQUAD.  Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

So quit lollygagging and join us for the race that's been ruining all other 5Ks since 2012 at
Color Me Rad Baltimore.

Goucher College Athletic DepartmentMission Statement

Goucher College is an educational community that strives to integrate personal, intellectual, and physical growth through participation in a number of disciplines.  The physical education, intercollegiate athletics and recreational sports programs are very much a part of these traditions.  These programs provide activities that are physically wholesome, mentally stimulating, and socially satisfying, while attempting to integrate athletics and recreation with the total educational experience. The Department cares about the health and welfare of each of the students involved in the program.  The College is committed to administering all of its programs in an equitable manner and cares deeply about the fair and equitable treatment of men and women.  The Department acknowledges that to promote the character development of its intercollegiate participants, and to enhance the integrity of higher education and promote civility in society, we have an obligation to ensure that all program participants adhere to the fundamental values of respect, fairness, civility, honesty and responsibility. This is accomplished through the establishment of departmental and team policies, ongoing educational efforts, and the clear articulation of our expectations of good sportsmanship and ethical conduct.

Sportsmanship

For Goucher’s  intercollegiate athletic program to promote the character development of its participants, to enhance the integrity of higher education, and to promote civility in society, student-athletes, coaches, and all others associated with our athletic programs and events should adhere to such fundamental values as respect, fairness, civility, honesty, and responsibility. These values should be manifest not only in athletics participation but also in the broad spectrum of activities affecting the athletics program, including spectator behavior.

While we value quality competitive opportunities for student-athletes, compliance with the rules of fair play, and sportsmanship, are also essential. Since victory shall be the expected goal of every competitor, defeat is not a disgrace, and the prospect of defeat is never an excuse for unethical behavior or a lack of sportsmanship.  Adherence to these principles of fair play will maximize the benefits and enjoyment of intercollegiate competition for all participants, coaches, and spectators involved with Goucher’s programs.
