WHAT IS COLOR ME RAD?

Color Me Rad is the most fun you’ll ever experience in a 5K! At the starting line you’re clean as a newborn baby, and some 3 miles later, you’ll be coated with a rainbow of color that even your own mother won’t recognize you. At each color station, a new dimension of powder or gel will paint your masterpiece. You’ll cross the finish line and into a final blitzkrieg of color! *WINK WINK – Make sure to tag us and to use our hashtag #ColorMeRad!

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

We welcome all ages, even those still in the cooker. Kids aged eight and older must register as adults, and all minor participants must have their waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

IS COLOR ME RAD SAFE?

The safety of our runners and employees has always been our top priority. Our color is certified non-toxic and is corn starch-based with food-grade dyes, but as with any substance, you won’t want it in your eyes. All Color Me Rad volunteers receive strict instructions to throw color below the head, but as an extra precaution, many runners opt to wear sunglasses or goggles, and sometimes a bandana over the mouth and nose while passing through color stations.

CAN I PARTICIPATE IF I HAVE A MEDICAL ISSUES OR AM PREGNANT?

Our color is non-toxic and corn starch-based. We want everyone to be as safe as possible, so if you are allergic to corn or food dye, participation in Color Me Rad is strictly off limits. If you are pregnant or have other health concerns, consult with your doctor.

I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND, CAN I GET A REFUND

If you did not purchase Ticket Guardian insurance, you may transfer your ticket to another event, but it is non-refundable. Email info@colormerad.com to transfer your ticket. If you did purchase Ticket Guardian insurance, you may get a refund if you can not attend the event! Please contact Ticket Guardian at www.ticketguardian.net. Click HERE for more info on refunds.

WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE IT TO PACKET PICK-UP

Don’t stress, someone else can pick up your packet for you, they just need your ticket (printed or e-ticket) or information with them. If you don’t have any friends willing to help out, we provide one final option: packet pick-up on race day. This last resort is not without consequences, however, as lines tend to be extra long on race day, so plan accordingly, and arrive at least an hour early.

CAN I BRING MY PET DOG, CAT, OR LIZARD?

We love your pets, which is why they aren’t allowed. For the safety of pets and all participants, please leave your furry/scaly/slimy/squawking friends at home. Participation will be prohibited should they tag along. Service animals are allowed, but please bring required paperwork of proof.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

In a perfect world, we recommend you get there about 30 – 45 mins before your start time. This will give you wiggle room should you encounter traffic, choose to shop at the merch tent, or stretch out before the run. If your location utilizes shuttles, you’ll want to give yourself, even more, time. We’ll send you an email and update your Facebook event page with details should your location require unique instructions.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

Our color appears most vibrant on a clean white backdrop, so make sure whatever you wear is eligible for a tie-dye, as staining is not uncommon. You’ll receive a Color Me Rad t-shirt with your registration, but we like to keep those as mementos for after the race. We’ll have lots of Rad-branded options available (including white tees, tanks, and tutus) for purchase at packet pick-up and on race day.

DOES THE COLOR COME OUT

The powdered color is washable, and should easily wash off of skin and out of hair. 

CAN MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS COME WATCH AND CHEER ME ON

We love supportive cheerleaders! Our only stipulation is that they stay off the actual running course for their safety and the safety of our runners. We have various forms of color for sale if they want to join in the color throws post-race and get messy with you.

WHERE DO I PARK AND IS THERE A CHARGE?

Please check your local page and Facebook event page to get all details on parking. You will also receive an email 1-2 weeks before the event with further details.

WHAT IF THERE'S BAD WEATHER?

You think a few storm clouds can stop the rad? Rain just brightens the colors! For more critical weather concerns (tornados, flooding, etc), check your Facebook event page for the most up to date information. If the weather is deemed dangerous by your event director or local authorities, we will email you with cancellation or postponement details.

DO YOU HAVE A CHARITY?

DO YOU HAVE A PROMO CODE?

Well, it must be your lucky day! When selecting your tickets, you will see a blue ‘Enter Promotional Code’ spot in the top right-hand corner. Once you click on that, you can place your specific promo code.

DID YOU FORGET TO ADD YOUR PROMO CODE

Unfortunately, we are unable to add your promo code to already purchased tickets. Once you have registered for the event, we can not add the promo code to your order, or refund the difference of the promo code. BUT, this is a great opportunity to sign a friend up using the promo code!

IS THERE ADA AND HANDICAP ASSISTANCE PARKING?

Yes! The ADA Parking information is provided by the venue, and we recommend coming early to the venue to make sure all requirements are met.

I LOST SOMETHING AT THE EVENT, WHAT DO I DO?

All lost items are taken to our check-in tent. If you’ve already left the venue, you can email us at info@colormerad.com to help find any missing objects!
